[37536] Find A Grave offers: "Married Lillis Mitchell January 12, 1842 in Clinton County, Ohio. Daniel Fulk homesteaded in Scotland County, Missouri in 1845 and lived on the original homestead until his death fifty-four years later. Children: Hoseo Ballo, Sylvanus Cobb, Thirza Ellen, Francis M, Celestia L, Edgar M, Miles Orville, Nathaniel Stacy, Charles S, Almira I. Son of John Fulk and Rachel Nolin Fulk. Brother to Nancy, George, John, David, Eva, Rachel, Isaac, Mary Ann, Jacob. Obituary: Daniel N. Fulk, died at his home in Scotland County, Mo. on Thursday, August 10, 1899, aged 83 years and 10 months. He was born in Highland County, Ohio, Oct. 10, 1815. On New Year's Day, 1841, he was married to Miss Lillie Mitchell at her home near Blanchester, Ohio. In April 1845, they settled on their homestead in Scotland County, where they lived until his death. (Note: The recorded marriage date is January 12, 1843). In his pioneer days, as of later years, he has taken a great interest in the public schools of our county. During the civil war he took an active part in the home guard service and nobly fought for the union. In his younger days, he united with the Olive Branch Universalist Church at his Ohio home, to which church he has always been loyal, and earnestly advocated the brotherhood of man and the universal fatherhood of God. The family circle, consisting of seven sons and three daughters, mourn the broken link with their aged mother in her seventy-sixth year. The funeral services at Richland church were conducted by the Order of Free Masons, of which order he had been a member since the year 1852. During the last three years he had patiently endured untold suffering, brought on by the excruciating pains of cancer and he welcomed death with calm belief in the final harmony of all souls with God."
