[55600] Find A Grave memorial 34215723 offers Nathaniel's obituary: "Thorndike - Nathaniel E. Sargent, 70, died at a Hartland hospital Thursday, January 26, 1961, following a brief illness. He was born at Lowell, Mass., March 20, 1890, the son of Rufus and Emma Delano Sargent. He was the husband of the late Emma Sargent. He was a member of the Seven Star Grange of Troy, the Star in the West Masonic Lodge, and for many years, he was a livestock and meat dealer. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Marian S. Cyr of Fairfield, Mrs. Margaret R. Gerrish of Hartford, Conn., and Mrs. Evelyn M. Archer of Brewer; three sons, George Sargent and Preston Sargent of Thorndike and Lawrence Sargent of Fairfield; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the Thorndike Congregational Church with the Rev. John Hawkins, officiating. Interment will be in Center Cemetery in the spring.
