[56474] The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 11 March 2021: "Suffield, CT - Margaret Ann 'Peg' (Kinney) Thompson, 83, of Suffield, CT, and formerly Pittsfield, ME, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Peg was born on June 12, 1937, in Blaine, Maine, the daughter of the late Basil Kinney and Marion (Piper) White. She graduated from Maine Central Institute with the class of 1956 and was married to Theodore (Ted) Thompson for 45 years until his passing in 2002. Peg held many jobs throughout her life but her two favorite jobs were being the Office Manager at Susi Construction and JK Wright Chevrolet. She enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to have visited many places but her favorite place of all was the coast of Maine - in her words 'it doesn't get any better than this.' In 2007 she moved her home to Suffield, CT, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She cherished this time - especially with her grandchildren - playing games, picking them up from school, taking them to sports practice, shopping (her favorite pastime), and going out to lunch at her favorite restaurants. She instilled in all of her children that family was the most important thing in life. Peg was truly happiest and content when surrounded by her family and she could impart her dry sense of humor and wit on all. Always 'Dressed to the Nines' she was affectionately known by most as a 'Fashionista.' Peg is survived by her beloved and devoted children, Tammy Vuocolo and husband, Jeffrey, of Suffield, CT, and Eric Thompson and wife, Julie, of South Windsor, CT; daughter-in-law, Susan Thompson of South Windsor, CT; grandchildren, Kelsey, Ryan, Emily and Benjamin Thompson of South Windsor, CT, and Erica and Olivia Vuocolo of Suffield, CT; the best brother in the world, Ronald Kinney of Avon, CT; and many, many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her devoted and loving son, Scott Thompson; brother, Wendell Green and wife, Fran; sister, Ida Curtis and husband, Don; sister, Opal Gray and husband, Carl; sister, Wanda Dahlgren and husband, Maynard; and sister-in-law, Debra Kinney."
