[43694] Find A Grave memorial 82637582 offers his obituary: "James D. Bohn, 65, of Cass Lake died July 3, 1995, at his home. Services were at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cass Lake. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Cass Lake. Mr. Bohn was born May 10, 1930, in Mallard, Iowa, to Donald and Isabella (Weinholzer) Bohn. The family moved to Cass Lake in 1944 and he graduated from Cass Lake High School in 1948. He married Elaine Marth Oct. 13, 1951. They raised their six children in Cass Lake, where he managed the Bohn Fur Farm. He was a member of the Cass Lake Volunteer Fire Department from 1957 to 1985 and was fire chief from 1962 until his retirement. During his tenure, the department acquired its first rescue vehicle, the Jaws of Life, a new fire hall and new trucks. He was an active member of St. Charles Catholic Church and an avid fisherman and hunter. He served with the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1949 to 1950. He is survived by his wife; daughters Carol Bohn of Whittier, AK, Diane (Robert Burg) Bohn of Milwaukee, WI, Brenda Stangel and Susanna Hamre of Cass Lake; his father of Cass Lake; brothers, Jerome and Marvin of Cass Lake; a sister, Donna (John) Johnson of Cass Lake; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy, and his mother. (Bemidji Pioneer July 7, 1995)"
