He was born in Blue Hill May 20, 1922, the son of Harry M. and Doris (Turner) Leach. Mr. Leach was a graduate of Bucksport High School, Class of 1940. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army Air Force as a technical sergeant stationed in the South Pacific. He is survived by his wife, Eva (Murch) Leach of Bucksport; his stepmother; Mrs. Harry (Esther) Leach, Sr. of Bucksport; four children, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie (Glenyce) Spaulding of Frankfort, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman (Patricia) Hutchins of Penobscot, Jesse S. Leach, Sr. of Penobscot, Wallace L. Leach, Jr. of Bucksport; one brother, Harry M. Leach, Jr. of Orland; one sister, Mrs. Melvin (Doris) Adams of Lucerne; one half brother, Norris Leach of Orland; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and aunts. He also will be remembered by many friends. He was predeceased by one sister, Glenys Leach." Wallace enlisted in the U. S. Army at Bangor, ME 4 Feb 1941.
