Miles m. in 1070 Lithuise, dau. of the Viscount of Troyes, per W.H.Turton, "The Plantagenet Ancestry," p. 197. http://montlhery.com/chateau3_eng.htm reports in 2003: "Milon the Big left during the first crusade (1096 - 1104) with his oldest son, Guy Troussel; his brother Guy the Red, count of Rochefort; and his nephew Hughes, sire of Crécy, who was the son of Guy the Red. It is possible to date their departure to 1096 since Guy the Red, also the seneschal, disappeared from these events around 1095, and did not reappear until 1104. We know the results of the voyage from the accounts of the Abbey Suger. Guy Troussel abandoned the holy business and, unbeknownst to his father, he escaped from Antioch, which was besieged by the Corboran army. He then returned to France. With the crusade now finished Milon the Big was reunited with his dishonored son. He then set off once more for holy ground where he was killed at the battle of Ramlah in 1103." William returned to England to marry Elizabeth Barker, according to the LDS Church's "Ancestral File." Children are also from "Ancestral File" and are NOT verified (1999) and include two more Elizabeths, b. in ME, and a second John, b. 1660 in York, ME, and a second Samuel, b. about 1643 (drowned 24 Nov 1685). Banks ident. him with W. F. who m. in Plymouth 13 Jan. 1639[40****] Elizabeth Barker. Sep. 15, 1640, just aft. leaving Mr. Winter, he and Henry Watts were fined for carrying boards on Sunday. In 1641 he was sued in N. H. court, and in 1643 he was called up for not leading an orderly life. He was liv. in Portsm. In Nov. 1652 he was liv. at York. His old field is ment. in 1665. In 1683 he deeded his lands to sons Samuel and John, with reserva. for his own and their mother's lives. Next yr. appoint. ferryman. Lists 21, 323, 275, 276, (342****).
