He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of Perry County, He was a member of New Bloomfield Evangelical United Brethren Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Sweger Campbell; a daughter, Mrs. Lester Louden, Duncannon; a brother, E. Fred Campbell; Newport R. D., and a granddaughter. Services will be held at 2 p. m. today, Feb. 22, at the Clemens Funeral Home, W. Main street, New Bloomfield. The Rev. Raymond Kingsborough, his pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in New Bloomfield Cemetery."

He married Cleo Mildred 'Pat' Bray on April 16, 1938, in Brewster, New York . . . . He died on January 23, 2001, in Port Charlotte, Florida, at the age of 81." "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 31 January 2001, p. 17: "East Orland and North Port, Fla. - John F. Noonan, Sr., 81, died January 23, 2001, at a Port Charlotte, Fl. hospital. He was bom August 4, 1919 in New Britain, Ct. the son of John and Catherine (McAloon) Noonan. He and his wife have spent winters in Florda for seven years. He worked as a plant manager for L and I Atlantic, Bangor, retiring in 1982. He was a World War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.
