He was a carpenter and a member of Local 1835 of the carpenter's union. He married Florence Lister in 1915 in Savannah, Ill. She preceded him in death. He then married Ethel Floyd in 1923 in Waterloo. They were later divorced. He is survived by five sons, Claude A. Morgan, 1720 Locke Ave.; Gale L. Morgan, 136 Rainbow Dr.; Eldon J. Morgan, 3107 Falls Ave.; Richard E. Morgan, 1714 Easton St. and Wayne D. Morgan, of Costa Mesa, Calif. Mr. Morgan is also survived by two daughters, Mrs. Donald A. Bixby, 512 West Donald St. and Mrs. Robert Gravatt, of Marion, Ill. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. S. W. Andrews, 727 Magnolia St.; Mrs. J. W. Holtzman, 2916 Rainbow Dr.; and Mrs. John Meir, of Eagle Center. A brother, George Morgan, 401 Harwood St., also survives, as do 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, one daughter and one grandson."
