She was born in Fort Fairfield 12-15-1899 the daughter of Rufus and Lillian (Avery) Higgins. She attended school in Presque Isle. She was a lifelong member of the Gray Memorial United Methodist church, a member of the United Methodist Women and a former member of the Mothers Club, Amnity Club, Pythian Sisters and the WCTU, all of Presque Isle. She is survived by 7 children, Dorothy Quass, Arlene Dicker, Barbara Hews, Richard King and Jackie Haines all of Presque Isle, Gerladine Wheeler of Madison and Clement King Jr. of Easton, 2 sisters, Ruth Garland of Presque Isle and Hope Boone of Dover-Foxcroft, 24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clement and a son Ted Coffin. Burial Fairmount cemetery."
