Her baptism is from the records of St. John's Church (Queen's Chapel), Portsmouth, NH. An unverified posting by Bob Bamford on OneWorldTree at Ancestry.com states that her father is son of Robert Bamford (b. ca. 1700 in NH) and Eleanor McDaniel (b. ca. 1700, m. 14 Jan 1723 in Barrington, NH) who also had at Portsmouth Charles (ca. 1743), Hugh (2 Feb 1747) and Jane (7 Aug 1752); Robert was on the Barrington (NH) tax roll of 1742 for 6 shillings, and is listed as son of Jacob Basford (b. in Barbados, British West Indies and baptised there 28 Nov 1647, son of John Basford [b. ca. 1624, d. by 1714 in Currituck, NC] and wife Ann) and Elizabeth Clifford (b. ca. 1659 in Hampton Falls, NH, m. ca. 1686); Jacob m. 2nd Sarah Cram (b. 19 Sept 1663 in Hampton Falls, NH., m. 27 March 1708). Bob Bamford references the records of Christ Church in Barbados and the "History of the Town of Durham, NH," Vol II. {"Pedigree Resource File," database, FamilySearch (http://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/39YG-FQD) states Elizabeth was born 11 Jan 1744 in Barrington, Stratford Co., NH and d. 19 Feb 1834 in Cherryfield, Washington Co., ME.

Born in Pitman, Schuykill County, Mrs. Ruths was the eldest daughter of the late Edward and Katie Raybuck. Her husband, John, preceeded her in death in 1969. She was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church, Kulpmont. Surviving are three children, Walter R. Ruths, Morrisville; the Rev. Dr. Arthur L. Ruths, Hanover RD 2; and Mrs. Betty E. Evans, Middletown; two sisters, Irene Raybuck, Yonkers, N.Y. and Rita Raybuck, Tobyhanna and a brother, Clarence Raybuck, Philadelphia; nine grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. The service will be held from All Saints Lutheran Church, Kulpmont, Friday at 1 p.m. with interment in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery."
