Burial will be in St. John's Reformed Cemetery, Leck Kill. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Christ United Church of Christ Church, Leck Kill, by the Rev. Ruth Dalious. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ UCC Church, Leck Kill, in care of Judy Paul, Klingerstown RD1. Funeral arrangements were made by the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD1. Mr. Geist died Sunday evening in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been admitted one day earlier. He was in ill health since June 1985. Born in Rebuck Oct. 7, 1912, he was a son tf the late Wilson and Helen ( Koppenhaver) Geist. He was married in 1930 to the former Alma L. Straub. A retired farmer, he had also been an executive assistant of the Northumberland County Soil Conservation District, Sunbury, until he retired in 1978. He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ Church Leck Kill, where he had been a former church consistory member; St. John's Reformed Cemetery Association, Leck Kill; Eureka Lodge of IOOF of Leck Kill; and currently served as a board member of the Northumberland County Soil Conservation District, Sunbury. A daughter, Mildred Geist, died in 1932. In additon to his wife, he is survived by a son, Maynard L. of Leck Kill; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Adams of Rebuck, Mrs. Darlene Masser of Leck Kill and Mrs. G. Bonita Seaman of Lewisberry; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter."
