Owen demanded a ransom from Henry IV to free Edmund but Henry refused to pay. Edmund decided to join Owen Glendower's cause. He even married Owen's daughter Katherine. ...(Owain Glyn Dwr) A wealthy land owner in Wales. Glendower owned land both in North Wales and in Pembrokeshire. In 1400 Glendower and his rival Lord Grey of Rutin had a dispute over land. The King of England sided with Rutin and so Glendower rose up in revolt against the English in North Wales."

He was bom June 18, 1917, at Milbridge, the son of Estella R. and John E. Strout. He graduated form Milbridge High School in 1935. He was employed in the Milbridge area as a truck driver for several years until he moved to Portland in 1942 and was employed there as a city bus driver for 36 years. He returned to Milbridge in 1978 and worked as a school bus driver for S.A.D. 37 until he retired in 1991. He was a faithful and devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Cherryfield, where he was a youth group leader with Awana, a lay minister and was a driver for the church's bus ministry. He was also a member of the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 0714 of Portland. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Olive Mae on Nov. 10, 2000. He is survived by his sister, Madelyn and her husband, Charles Phinney of Milbridge; a very dear and close friend, Alton Wallace and his wife, Allison; nieces, Linda and Dawn Marie; nephews, Woodrow, Ernie, Dana and Bruce; several cousins and grand nieces and nephews."
