He is survived by his wife, Phebe Beal Chandler of West Jonesport, a daughter of the late Napoleon and Sarah Beal; five sons, George of West Jonesport, Clifford of West Jonesport and Orono Harold of Jonesport, Leo of West Jonesport and Oscar of Manchester, N.H.; five daughters, Mrs. Leland (Verlene) Davis of Derry, N.H., Mrs. William (Edith) Prescott, Sr. of Machiasport, Mrs. Wesley (Ora) Worcester of Colombia Falls, Mrs. Vernon (Elvo) Robinson of Addison, Mrs. Ambrose (Sarah) Schevenieus of West Jonesport; 49 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roscoe Chandler of Connecticut, William Chandler of Bangor; three sisters, Mrs. Cordillia Hancock of Independence, Mo., Mrs. Eleanor Cruz of San Francisco, Mrs. Lorena Farren of Worcester, Mass.; several nieces and nephews."
