[12423] News-Journal [Mansfield, OH], 8 January 1985, p. 7: MANSFIELD - Harry Lee Baer, 87, formerly of 416 W. Sixth St., died Sunday evening in Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital in Oconomowoc, Wis., after an extended illness. Born Jan. 12, 1897, in Lexington, Mr. Baer lived in the Mansfield area most of his life before moving to Wisconsin three months ago. He was a retired furniture salesman for the Huber Furniture Co. and owned various businesses in the Mansfield-Galion area. He was a member of the ' English Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, whom he married Nov. 26, 1924; three sons, the Rev. Jack Baer of Warren, Mich., Dr. Robert Baer of Fairfield and Richard Baer of Oconomowoc, Wis.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Harry Jr.

[61394] Beulah's obituary: "Beulah E. Ramsdell, 90, of Harrington died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at a Machias Healthcare Facility. She was born in Cherryfield on August 14, 1918 the daughter of the late Guy and Lola (Worster) Grant. She was educated in the Cherryfield Schools and graduated from the Cherryfield Academy with the class of 1935. Following her marriage to Grover Ramsdell in 1939, they started their family and resided in Harrington. Beulah worked for several sardine factories as a packer for many years. Following her work in the factory, she became employed at Downeast Community Hospital in the early 1960?s and was a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Operating Room Tech. She retired in1982 as the supervisor of the school lunch program at Narraguagus High School in Harrington. Mrs. Ramsdell was a member of the County Extension Service, the Narraguagus Snowmobile Club, an avid supporter of the Ark Animal Shelter, and a member of the Harrington Planning Board. She was also a member of the Rock Maple Cemetery, Society. She enjoyed square dancing, snowmobiling, knitting, crocheting and reading. She also liked entertaining family and friends. She loved animals especially her pet poodles. She shared 60 years of marriage with the late Grover Ramsdell who died in 1999. Family members include a daughter, Janice King of Veazie, and a son, Barry Ramsdell and wife, Charlene of Columbia, a daughter-in-law, Marie Ramsdell of Columbia, grandchildren, Derek King of Old Town, Denise Clifton and husband, James of Charlotte, NC, Kevin Ramsdell and wife, Lisa of Columbia, Regina Jordan and husband, Steve of Bangor, Patrick Ramsdell of Columbia and David Ramsdell and wife, Melissa of Harrington, several great grandchildren, a sister, Jeanette Harmon and husband, Howard of Cherryfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased a son, Paul Ramsdell in 2003, a son-in-law, Ronald King, and two sisters, Doris Grant and Ruth Wyman."

[54877] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 3 October 2023: "Southwest Harbor - Sandra H. Chalmers, 81, of Southwest Harbor, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Sept. 26, 2023. Sandra Lee was born April 3, 1942, the daughter of Wesley and Iona Higgins from Surry. She lived a very full life applying great zeal to task, whether school or play, career or hobbies. She graduated as valedictorian of Ellsworth High School and attended Husson University before entering employment for a law office in Bangor. Following her marriage to Frank, her life and careers varied significantly. Sandra was a mother and homemaker as the young family moved to Enfield and Bass Harbor before settling in an old family home in Seawall. Here she embraced a homestead lifestyle of raising animals, gardening, cooking and preserving to feed her growing family. Along the way, her craftiness for sewing, knitting and cake decorating frequently went from hobby to small business. She served the community, including the school board, for many years. After her sons grew, she ventured into occupation outside the home as an office manager and accountant for several business in Southwest Harbor. After retiring from her employed career, she became a full-time volunteer to Christian education serving in administration and teaching. Sandras love and faith in Jesus Christ is a common thread and driving force that ran throughout her life. Her passion and servants heart made her a productive member of whatever church fellowship the Lord placed her. She applied the same great zeal to the study of Gods Word and singing praise in worship. Her final years of life struggling with dementia caused a rewind to a laughing girl before a peaceful sleep. Sandra is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Francis T. Chalmers III, and her four sons, their spouses and families: James and Debra in Farmington with Michaella and Sean, Joseph and Bobbi in Seawall with Abbie, Annie and Andrew, Jonathan and Heather in Fayette with Matthew, Michael and Melanie, and Joshua and Betsy in Scarborough with Wesley and Max. She is also survived by her dear Aunt Mackie Pottle and nephew Sherman. She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Sherman and stepmother Isabella."
