The June, 1880 federal census there lists Richard and wife Sophronia and six children and reports Richard works in a copper mine. She died on June 20, 1575, in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, at the age of 61."

It is quite probable that she was his second wife (the 1820 census suggests that older children were living in the household)." This source states Joseph and Mary's Intention of Marriage is dated 25 February 1911 at St. Andrews, New Brunswick (which is opposite Calais, ME).
