She was born January 2, 1932, the daughter of Edith L. (Conary) and Harold L. Anderson. Elizabeth was an active member of the Riverside Chapter#123 Order of the Eastern Star, Arbutus Grange, Duck Cove Community Club, and Maine Extension Homemakers. She enjoyed volunteering in the community and helping others. She loved the Boston Red Sox and playing bingo. Elizabeth is survived by one daughter, Lisa Chamberlain and husband, Bruce, of Eddington; grandchildren, Shane Chamberlain and fiancee, Holly Michaud, of Hermon, Tyler Chamberlain and wife, Lindsay, of Orrington; great-grandchildren, Amia Chamberlain of Hermon, and Ryan Chamberlain of Orrington; one brother, James Anderson of Surry; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Bowden; son, Lane Bowden; sister, Pauline O'Donnell; and two brothers, Donald Conners and Harold Anderson Jr.'

"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 31 January 1978, p. 21: "Penobscot - Pearl M. Leach, 59, died at Penobscot after a long illness Jan 30, 1978. He was born at Penobscot May 31, 1918, son of Earl and Nina (Grindle) Leach. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Rising Star Lodge AF & AM Masons 107 of Penobscot and worked for St. Regis Paper Co. for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Emma (Chambers) Leach of Penobscot one son, Pearl M. Jr. of Blue Hill; two daughters, Gloria Stubbs of Penobscot, Shirley Blaunger of West Gray; four brothers,George A.of Bucksport, Edward F. of Framingham, Mass., Earl R. of Penobscot, and James A. of Kennsington, Conn.; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Leach of Penobscot; nine grandchildren, severol nieces and nephews."

[45938] James arrived in New York aboard the USS Constellation 12 March 1853. "Wilkes-Barre Times Leader, The Evening News [Wilkes-Barre, PA], 26 February 1929," p. 11: "James A. Stretch, life-long resident of lower Merlon township and father of Charles Stretch, of Forty Fort, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. A. Troutman, in Narberth, following a six weeks' illness. At the time of his death he was commissioner of lower Merion township. He was a member of Acacia Lodge, F. and A. M., of Ardmore. Surviving are the following children: Charles F. Stretch, of Forty Fort; Mrs. Albert DuBosq, Downlngton; Mrs. W. A. Troutman, Narberth. The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon, with interment in the Lutheran cemetery at Ardmore."
