"The Perry County Times [Bloomfield, PA], 30 June 1921": "Ex County Commissioner A.K. Bryner, one of the best known citizens of this county, died at his home at Cisna Run, Sunday morning, after a brief illness due to acute indigestion. He had been aflicted with stomach trouble for some years past, but it was not considered serious. Sunday morning he appeared to be in his usual health when about 7 o'clock he was seized with indigestion. His condition at once became serious and a physican was summoned. Treatment was administered, but he failed to rally and passed out about 9 o'clock. Albert K. Bryner was a son of the late George M. and Fanny (Peck) Bryner, was born at Elliotsburg, September 21, 1854 and at his death was aged 66 years, 9 months, and 5 days. As a young man he learned the trade of wagonmaking and wa associated with his brother, the late Theodore M. Bryner, at Cisna Run, who conducted a blacksmith shop. Later they both retired from their business and were associated with lumbering operations in the upper end of the county until the death of Theodore, the past year, since which time Mr. Bryner has been completing the work.
The decesed was a Republican and one of the most influential in his section of the county. In 1896, he was elected a County Commissioner and served acceptably his term of three years. He was affillated with the Presbyterian Church at Centre. Mr. Bryner was a man of affairs and deeply interested in all that contributed to the uplift of the community. He was a man of highest integerity and his sudden death is a severe blow to the community in which he lived. He is survived by his widow, Mary Rice, daughter of the late Jeremiah Rice, Tyrone township, and the following children; Harold E. Bryner, State Forester, of Blain; Mrs. Hattie Bryner Hohenshildt, of Loysville; Mrs. Nellie Bryner White, of Asbury Park and Mrs. Waggoner, of Harrisburg; A brother Ira L. Bryner, of Pasadena, Calf., also survives, who was visiting East at the time of his brother's death."

[51856] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 26 February 2014": "Ellsworth and Brewer - Ralph Marden Dunbar, 90, the husband of Jacqueline (Wescott) died Feb., 25, 2014, at a local nursing facility. He was born Sept. 22, 1923, in Trenton, the eldest son of J. Marden and Caroline (Royal) Dunbar. He graduated from Ellsworth High, in 1941, and graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1949. Ralph joined the service in 1941 proudly serving his country and was a Veteran of World War II, serving as a machine gun section leader with the 78th Infantry Division. He was severely wounded in Obergartzen, Germany, and spent months recovering and was awarded a Purple Heart. He met his bride Jackie from the Ellsworth area and they were married in 1947. Ralph was employed by the Maine Department of Transportation for 30 years retiring as a Division Engineer. He was a lifetime member of the Masons for over 45 years and a past member of the First Congregational Church of Brewer for many years where he served as a Trustee and Deacon of the church. In addition to his wife of 66 years, Ralph is survived by his two sons, Bruce and wife, Lisa, of Chapin, S.C., and Michael and his significant other, Kathy Hall, of Brewer; one brother, Harold of Ellsworth; two sisters, Carolyn and her husband, James Patten, of Ellsworth, and Kathleen and her husband, Wesley Cook, of York Beach; grandsons, Ryan Dunbar and girlfriend, Amy Chase, of Peru, and Colin Dunbar of Connecticut; granddaughters, Kristi Santos and husband, Nate, of Amherst, Kami Dunbar of California, Bethany McWade and husband, Jay, and Alyse Baillargeon and husband, Ed, both of Connecticut; one stepgrandchild, Laren Rosella and husband, Kevin, of North Carolina; seven great-grandchildren, Jakob Paterson of South Carolina, Kylie, Katelyn, Trafton and Garrett Santos, of Amherst, Landon Baillargeon and Molly McWade, both of Connecticut; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Kadyn Rosella of North Carolina. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Michelle Dunbar of Brewer; a sister, Mary Bedard of Ellsworth; and one brother, Keith of Bucksport. Among Ralph's favorites pastimes was relaxing at Georges Pond, flying his plane, playing golf, skiing and snowmobiling. His happiest times were spent with his loving wife and family at his side."

[12548] "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 3 December 1979," p. 10: "Carl Elwood 'Whitey' Wharton, 50, of 50 Blymyer Ave. died Sunday evening in Mansfield General Hospital following a long illness. He was born Oct. 22, 1929, in Mansfield and had lived in this area all his life. Mr. Wharton was an employee and member of the VFW Post 9943. He was a preparatory member of the Free Methodist Church of Ontario and a member of the Sons of Herman. Surviving are three sisters, Evangeline Yarman, Eleanor Finley and Lillian Conard, all of Mansfield, and three brothers, Lawrence and Gerald, both of Mansfield, and Donald of Medina."
