She was born in Biddeford, on November 22, 1954, the daughter of Lowell and Imogene (Mixer) Field. Susan was a 1973 graduate of Thornton Academy and attended the University of Maine at Bangor, where she met her future husband, Malcolm 'Mac' Dow. They were married in Saco in 1975, and for the first 25 years together they lived in various communities in Maine, including Sinclair, Patten, Bucksport, Windsor, Houlton, Hallowell, Augusta and Scarborough, after which they settled in Hollis, where Susan enjoyed many years living closer to her mother, siblings and childhood friends in southern Maine. Susan had a keen interest in physical fitness and shared that passion with others by teaching aerobics and cardiac rehabilitation classes at numerous locations over the years, including the Bangor Y.M.C.A. and Houlton Regional Hospital. She took great satisfaction in improving the lives of others and developed long term friendships with many in her classes. Susan enjoyed a wide range of activities, including gardening, decorating her homes with antiques and all things physical. She competed in many road races and, despite promising Mac that they would finish together if he would agree to run with her, always crossed the finish line well ahead of him. She climbed every trail to the summit of Mt. Katahdin many times and hiked the Appalachian Trail through Maine and New Hampshire. Susan also enjoyed traveling and went on cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska and to numerous countries throughout western Europe. Closer to home, Susan loved the social aspects of 'going to camp' with family and friends in Aroostook County, especially 'ALMANEKE' at Harvey Siding, the Stewart camp on Rockabema Lake and her own log cabin on the West Branch of the Mattawamkeag River in Haynesville. Susan was predeceased by her father, Lowell 'Red' Field, in 1993; mother, Emma, in 2015; father-in-law, Wilfred Dow, in 1977; mother-in-law, Mary 'Bun' Dow, in 2021; brother-in-law, David Dow, in 1999; nephew, Ryan Wright, in 2003; brother-in-law, Mike Dineen, in 2008; brother-in-law, Ron Laflamme, in 2016; brother-in-law, Dana Wright, in 2020; sister-in-law, Janet Sue Field, in 2020; and sister-in-law, Barbara Field, in 2022. She is survived by her husband, Mac of Winslow; daughter, Victoria "Tori" Dow and her husband, Joshua Brethauer, of Greensboro, NC, and their children, Cassidy Nicholson and Zachary Nicholson; son, Benjamin Dow and his wife, Kelley, of Waterville, and their children, Jameson, Wesley and Sullivan; brother, Kenneth Field of Andover; sister, Sharon Field LaFlamme of Biddeford; brother, David Field of Saco; and sister, Lisa and her husband, Marshall Painchaud, of Hollis; sister-in-law, Nancy Wright of Littleton; sister-in-law, Gwen Dow of Houlton, sister-in-law, Barbi McGuire and her husband, Brian, of Houlton; brother-in-law, John Dow and his wife, Sharon, of Corinth; and brother-in-law, Michael Dow of Bradley. Susan was a cherished aunt to several nieces and nephews. Susan will forever be remembered for her devotion to family, loyalty to friends, love for her miniature schnauzers and zest for life. Her family is especially grateful to her lifelong friend, Kathy Murphy Gagne of Biddeford, who has been by her side throughout the Alzheimer's journey. They also want to thank the dedicated staff of The Landing at Saco Bay for the care that she has received over the years and for the support from Beacon Hospice during her final months."

He was a representative in the general court of Plymouth in 1697, and was a man of 'pecuniary resources and financial ability.' In 2007 http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands offers: "Eberhard, son of Unruoch & his wife Engeltrude --- ([805/10]-in Italy 16 Dec 866, bur Cysoing, Abbey of St Calixtus). His origin is stated in the poem by Sedulius addressed to 'Everhardum comitem . . .Hunroci proles'. His birth date is estimated on the basis of his marriage in [836]. Thegan's 'Vita Hludowici Imperatoris' names 'Walach…abbas et Rihhardus perfidus et Eberhardus fidelis' as legates of Lothar, son of Emperor Louis I, in Italy in May [836]. Eberhard stopped the invasion of the Slavs and received the March of Friulia from Emperor Lothaire I, becoming Eberhard Duke of the March of Friulia. The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines records that 'comes Everardus cognomento Radulfus' was made 'dux Foroiulii' by Emperor Lothaire. An agreement between Charles II 'le Chauve"' King of the West Franks and his brother Ludwig II 'der Deutsche' King of the East Franks dated Jun 860 names 'nobilis ac fidelibus laicis…Chuonradus, Evrardus, Adalardus, Arnustus, Warnarius, Liutfridus, Hruodolfus, Erkingarius, Gislebertus, Ratbodus, Arnulfus, Hugo, item Chuonradus, Liutharius, Berengarius, Matfridus, Boso, Sigeri, Hartmannus, Liuthardus, Richuinus, Wigricus, Hunfridus, Bernoldus, Hatto, Adalbertus, Burchardus, Christianus, Leutulfus, Hessi, Herimannus, item Hruodulfus, Sigehardus'. The 'Annales Alamannicorum' record 'Eberhart' among those who swore allegiance in 864. With his wife, he founded the abbey of St Calixtus at Cysoing, Flanders. He owned a large library. The 'Annales Xantenses' record the death in 866 of 'Everwinus gener Ludewici regis' in Italy. Assuming that this refers to Eberhard, it is surprising that the text refers to 'Ludewici regis' rather than 'Ludewici imperatoris'. Eberhard's father-in-law is not known to have used the title king after his imperial coronation, although in a previous part of the same text the 'Annales' refer to his mother-in-law as 'Iuthit regina'. It is improbable that the 'Annales' could refer to Louis 'le Jeune' King of Italy (who was reigning in 866 and died in 875) as his daughters were probably under marriageable age at the time and in any case no other reference has been found to one of them marrying 'Everwinus'. - m ([836]) Gisela, daughter of Emperor Louis I 'der Fromme/le Pieux' & his second wife Judith [Welf] ([819/822]-after 1 Jul 874, bur Cysoing, Abbey of St Calixtus). The 'Genealogica Arnulfi Comitis' names (in order) 'Karolum et Gislam' children of 'Hludovicus ymperator…ex Iudith ymperatrice'. Her marriage is deduced from a charter in which Gisela states that their eldest son Unruoch brought back the body of Eberhard from Italy. He was born Nov. 20, 1933, in Frenchboro, the son of Wallace and Lenora (Higgins) Lunt. Carroll was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He spent his career as a lobsterman. He captained his own boats 'The Carroll Jr.' and 'The Miss Robin' and truly enjoyed his time on the sea. He loved going to camp at Branch Pond with his grandchildren and family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a past member of the Southwest Harbor/Tremont Masonic Lodge #77 A.F. & A.M. and the Anah Shrine. Carroll is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Hazel (Gott) Lunt; 2 daughters Robin Benson and husband Tom, of Southwest Harbor, Linda Mitchell and husband Sam, of Florida; 4 grandchildren Derek Benson and wife Kareema, Holly Bailey and husband KJ, Stacey Dannenberg and Jeff Lane; great grandchildren Brock Bailey, Zach and Nick Lawson and wife Dani; great-great grandchild Juniper Lawson; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Carroll W. Lunt, Jr., Nov. 29, 2016, and 3 siblings Robert and Al Lunt and Hilda Newman."
