[40792] Mary's obituary: "Mary D. McGrane, 82, a resident of the Pennsylvania Memorial Home, formerly of Mechanicsville, died early Saturday, March 31, 2001 in the Brookville Hospital. Born July 8, 1918, in Brookville, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude Carberry DeMotte. She married Joseph J. McGrane on April 29, 1945. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1996. Mrs. McGrane was employed by Bell Telephone in Brookville and for Wein's Clothing Store in Clarion. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clarion, where she was a member of the choir. Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Paul (Virginia) Hartle, Strattanville, and Mrs. Robert (Georgie) Fitzgerald, Brookville. One son, Michael A. McGrane of Macon, GA., 10 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Also surviving are: one sister, Helen Shields of Summerville; two brothers, Paul DeMotte of Uniontown, and John DeMotte of Brookville; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters."
