Ruckman of 107 Highland Ave. was dead on arrival at Mansfield General Hospital Thursday evening after becoming ill earlier at his home. He was general plant fleet supervisor of the United Telephone Co., having been associated with the telephone company for 34 years. A native of Mt. Gilead, Mr. Ruckman spent most of his life in Shiloh, moving to Bellville two years ago. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, Shiloh Lodge 554 F&AM, and the Telephone Pioneers. Surviving are his wife, Mariruth; two sons, David of Mansfield and Michael of Ravenna; two step sons, Kevin and Kurt Freeman at home; his mother, Mrs. Maude Ruckman of Shiloh; five brothers, Thomas of Seattle, Wash., James of San Antonio, Tex., Richard of Cleveland, and Robert and Dean of Shelby."
