They had two [known] children during their marriage. He died on June 16, 1676, in Hadley, Massachusetts, having lived a long life of 75 years. Anne Gull was born in 1605. . . . . She died on February 23, 1679, in Hadley, Massachusetts, at the age of 74.”

"The Ipswich Emersons," Benjamin Kendall Emerson (Boston: David Clapp & Son, 1890), p. 67: "Thomas Emerson, son of Nathaniel and Sarah Emerson, was born at Ipswich, Mass., and died at Ipswich, 14 April 1738. He married 20 November 1685, Philippa Perkins, a daughter of Jacob and Sarah (Wainwright) Perkins. She was born at Ipswich, 28 November 1670, and died 26 April 1738. They resided at Ipswich, near 'Labour-in-vain.' Mr. Emerson was a farmer. Essex (Mass.) Probate, xxvii: 228. Will of Thomas Emerson Sr. of Chebacco dated 14 March 1738, probated 4 January 1747. Children named: Sarah Hunt, Elizabeth Smith, Mary wife of Stephen Story, Mehitable Burnam, and son Thomas to be executor, and to him was given the remaining estate, excepting the household goods."
