She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt. She is survived by her 5 children, Sue (Juris), Mike (Cherlyn), James Jr., Nancy, Tom (Betsy); 11 grandchildren, Kevin, Chad, Chelsea, Jason, Justin, Alyssha, Makoa, Kailee, Andy, Katie, and Sam; 12 great grandchildren, Olivia, Ben, Penelope, Rhys, Annabelle, Charlotte, Morgan, Selby, Addison, Braylon, Carter and Korianna; sister, Julia Worcester; brother, Everett (Lee) Worcester; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Arthur Hardwick Sr.; parents, Verrill Sr. and Erma Worcester; brothers, Verrill Jr. 'Sonny', Dwight, and David; and sister, Joyce Hilliard. Cassie was born and raised in Maine and loved to return home in the summer to spend time with family. In Michigan, she became a much loved member of the Hardwick family and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. Cassie was a stay at home mom for many years and then went to work for the State of Michigan. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed crocheting and knitting in her free time."
