He married Hannah Tuttle on November 7, 1672, in his hometown. They had 13 children in 25 years. He died on February 22, 1730, in New Haven, Connecticut, having lived a long life of 76 years, and was buried there. Hannah Tuttle was born on November 2, 1655, in New Haven, Connecticut, the child of John and Catherine . . . . She died on December 21, 1708, in New Haven, Connecticut, at the age of 53, and was buried there."
