[35259] This person is from the unverified Beattie Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2013.
[17886] Frank, Sr. and Bertha were married in 1938 at the home of his parents, Unity St., Frankford, Phila., PA. They then moved to "Dietrichs Farm" near Rt.1 and Oxford Valley Rd, Langhorne, PA where he worked as a farm laborer. After the birth of first child (Frank, Jr.), they moved to the farm of his Uncle Millard and Aunt Becky (nee Jones) Tomlinson on Southampton Rd. near Rt.#1 behind Byberry State Hospital where he worked on the farm and as an attendant at the State Hosp. Second child Bertha was born in 1940. About 1943, with his pending draft into WWII, and the birth of third child, Diane, the family moved back into Phila, 1 block south of his parents at Church & Ruan Sts. When drafted in 1944 , the family moved to Kinsey & Waln Sts.(3 blocks N.E.). He served with the U.S.Navy in the Pacific aboard the Hospital ship Benevolence. He was in Tokyo Bay at the Peace Signing, and helped bring out the U.S. Prisioners of War from the Japanese Camps (an experience that upset him throughout his life!). Around 1947 the family bought 6 acres of land in Cornwells Hgts., Bucks County, PA at 3314 Knights Rd. where Donald, Carol, Sally, and Twins, Jane and Joan were born. {all the children were born at Frankford Hospital, Phila. except Frank, Jr. who was born at St. Mary's}. In the early 70's he retired to Fortescue Rd., Newport, NJ, where the four youngest children finished high School. It is a tribute to Frank and Bertha (who had a 6th and 7th grade education) that their children all finished high school (the first ones in the entire Logue/Clancy Family) and all attended, in one form or another, college, with three getting their degree! They left their children legacies..." hard work never hurt you"...a legacy that no amount of money could ever replace, and, a legacy of Love of each other and family beyond all the riches of the World!
[59582] William is son of Charles Barney Noyes (1845-1917) & Harriet Evelyn Daggett (1858-1938; m. 6 May 1877 in Atkinson, Piscataquis Co., ME).
