Mansfield News-Journal, 22 December 1982, p. 7: Donald 'Joe' Shambaugh, 52, of 572 Dewey Ave. died Tuesday morning in University Hospital, Columbus, after a two week illness. He was born Dec. 1, 1930, in Mansfield and lived here all his life. Mr. Shambaugh was an employee of Clinton Manufacturing. Surviving are his wife, Janis Heichel Shambaugh; one son, Paul of Mansfield; three daughters, Mary Alice Shambaugh and Janet Shambaugh, both of Mansfield, and Mrs. Harold (Betty) Hinklin of Galion; four grandchildren; his father, William Shambaugh of Mansfield; two sisters, Lucille Sampsel and Marlyn Finney, both of Mansfield; and one brother, Edward G. of Mansfield.
