[55213] Find A Grave memorial 200506159 offers Irma's obituary: "Irma I. Fickett Greenlaw Holland, 77, went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 21, 2004 at a Milbridge health care facility. She was born March 6, 1927 in Harrington, the daughter of Bernard and Abbie (Harrington) Fickett. Irma came to know Christ as her Savior at the age of 12, and was a faithful servant. It was very important to Irma to be sure that everyone in her family made that same decision. During World War II, she sandblasted airplane parts and made bullets at a converted automobile manufacturing plant in Detroit, Michigan. Irma was also a waitress for many years, and returned to Maine in the late 1940s. For many years she was a custodian at the Ella Lewis School in Steuben, and was also a crew leader for Wymans Blueberry Company with her husband George Holland in the field harvesting division. Irma is survived by her husband of 38 years, George Holland of Steuben; three daughters, Linda Rolfe and her husband Ambrose, Pamela Farnsworth and her husband Larry, all of Cherryfield, and Elizabeth Hammond and her husband Arthur of Steuben; seven grandchildren, Bruce Rolfe and his wife Roberta, Kim Thompson and her husband Bill, Jr., all of Steuben, Wayne Farnsworth and his wife Sara of Ellsworth, Tammy Feero and her husband Harry of Alton, Abbie, Justin, and Alycia Hammond of Steuben; seven great grandchildren, Kristen, Amanda, Nichelle, Bryce, Taylor, Logan, and Caleb; two brothers, Earl Fickett and his wife Dorothy of Milbridge, and Bernard Fickett, Jr. of Addison; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by six brothers, Arnold, Nathaniel, Drew, Alva, Ira, Irving, and three infant brothers; two sisters, Dora Roy and Jenny Dyment."

Allen, 88, of Palm Springs, Fla., and Sedgwick, died peacefully at her Florida home, Friday, May 12, 2017. She was born in Brooklin on Aug. 19, 1928, the daughter of the late Pearl Rufus and Lillian B. (Grindle) Tainter. She graduated from Brooklin High School in 1946, where she excelled on the girls basketball team and played trombone for the high school band. Priscilla was predeceased by her first husband, James N. Curtis, brother, Arthur Tainter Sr., and daughter, Barbara Ann Allen. She is survived by her five children, Mary Jane Mann and husband, Ethan, of Broomfield, Colo., Martin Allen and partner Gina Sensontic of Penobscot, Kermit Allen Jr. and wife, Darlene, Jeffrey Allen and wife, Tina, all of Blue Hill, Annie Allen and partner Michelle Duprey of Holden, 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her partner of 49 years, Edwin K. Pert. Throughout their relationship he was the most loving, caring attentive companion, especially as of late, staying by her side providing exceptional care and comfort. For many summers Priscilla worked as the hostess of Eatons Lobster Pool and later tended the families Blueberry Patch gift shop. She was personable, friendly and genuinely enjoyed working with the public. She had a smile that would light up a room and a terrific sense of humor. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends at gatherings and parties. She is fondly remembered for baking her delicious pies, cookies and especially Allens blueberry cake. She was very generous and thoughtful, never missing an opportunity to send a card or acknowledge family birthdays or holidays. She also enjoyed sunny days, the beach, boating, seafood, day trips and joyrides to favorite restaurants."
