[21264] Ancestry of Arden is from the Decato Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2010 and is not verified. "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 14 September 1914, p. 13: "Otis - Arden S. Young, a prominent and respected citizen whose age was 58, died last Friday morning at five oclock. At his bedside were his wife and all of his children, and a physician. He has been ill for a long time, with Brights Disease. Regardless of the skill of his doctor and every care bestowed upon him by the members of his devoted family, he finally succummed to the fatal malady after a brave struggle for life. Mr. Young was the first of only two children of the late Adonirum and Lydia (Squire) Young. His sister, Rosanna, the wife of the late Daniel Ginn died many years ago. His parents died some years ago leaving him the homestead where he was born, always lived and died. Early in life he married Miss Fannie Black of Mariaville and to them were born five children all of whom survive. The family was a most happy and united one always living at the home since their mariages which consists of Daniel Young, Mrs. Ethel Leach, Mrs. Tressa Moore, Mrs. Lora Watts and Mrs. Lyda Frost all of Otis except Mrs. Leach who now lives at North Castine. They have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in this their flrst sorrow. The funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon, Rev. P. A. A. Klllain of Ellsworth officiating. The bearers were his son, and sons-in-law, Daniel Young, Arthur Moore, Frank Watts and Pearl Frost. The Grangers of which order Mr. Young was a charter member attended in a body their rites being observed as a part of the service. He was buried in the lot of the family, near his home which joins the Grove from which the Sacred Grounds derived the name of Evergreen Cemetery."
