[55066] "The Bangor Daily News [Banor, Maine]," 6 November 2023: "Bangor - Janet Althea (Hoskins) Annis, 95, passed away this November 3, 2023, at a local hospital. Janet was born August 17, 1928, in Milo, the daughter of Mary Crockett and Leroy Jerry Hoskins. Janet graduated from Milo High School in 1946. She held many jobs throughout her life but most of her employment was at Saint Joseph Hospital where she worked from 1964-1988 where she retired as a medical secretary. Janet met and married Donald B Annis in 1949. They were married in Bangor, Maine, where they resided with their loving family for most of their lives. Janet enjoyed spending time with friends and family gardening, camping and her love of golf brought her to become a part of the Bangor Women's Golf Club and Maine State Women's Golf Association. She also enjoyed rug hooking, painting and quilting and dancing. Janet was predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years, Donald B. Annis; and her three sisters, Rose Carlson, Pearl Johnston, and Rose Clark. She is survived by her son, David Harold Annis and his wife, Susan, of Naples, FL; her son, Donald Roy Annis and his wife, Diana, of Norton, MA; and her daughter, Janet Patricia Annis of Otisfield, ME. She also has 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren."
