[56134] Frederick's obituary: "Steuben - Frederick H. Leighton, 77, died unexpectedly February 10, 2024, at his home. He was born February 20, 1946, in Milbridge, the son of Joseph S. and Pearl B. (Parker) Leighton. Fred served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as well as he later served in the reserves. He spent his career as a truck driver for many years. He will be greatly missed by his friends and work family at Harold MacQuinns, Ellsworth. On December 4, 1971, Fred married Dorea L. (Alley). They built their life together and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Fred also spent time building mini fishing boat models. Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Dorea; daughter, Angel Willey, and husband Ken; son, Joseph Leighton and wife Jenn; mother-in-law, Rose Bell; six grandchildren, Benjamin, Caitlyn, Alexis, Kendra, Autumn and Jessica; seven great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; a special feline Poppy. He was predeceased by his parents; siblings Donald, Sylvia, and Elaine, along with his feline friend 'Bratt'."
