Welch, died Feb. 2, 2014, at a Bangor hospital with her family by her side. She was born Feb. 15, 1930, in Silver Ridge, one of 13 children born to Edwin G. and Bessie (Blanc) Dunbar. Margaret is survived by three children, Ron Welch and his wife, Sharon, of Rumford, Carolyn Kelly and her husband, Paul Kelly, of Bangor, and Wayne Welch and his wife, Michele, of Hermon; eight grandchildren, Andrew Grant, David, Stacie and Samantha Kelly, Kris and Brian Welch, Zachary and Tyler Welch; two stepgrandchildren, Heidi Grey and Brian Gallant; seven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; four sisters, Elnora 'Tilly' Lyford of Lagrange, Leora Richardson of New Hampshire, Mildred 'Babe' Duprey of Farmington, and Joyce Goodwin of Dexter; two brothers, Douglas Dunbar of Hermon and Weymouth Dunbar and his wife, Joyce, of Hermon; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; a son, Colburn 'Colby' Welch in 2010; and by six brothers and sisters. Margaret went to school in Lagrange and later attended college at the University of Maine's Bangor Campus. Margaret was very family oriented she loved attending the annual Dunbar Family Reunions and regular family get together on holidays. She was a loving and dedicated mother who always taught her children the importance of contribution to the world and kindness to others. She was greatly loved by her family, friends and neighbors. She will be dearly missed by her family all who knew her."
