[6237] http://www.theroyfamily.com/gen/roy/p305.htm states he is Artaud IV, Count of Lyon and Forez, m. Raimonde. Is he the "Count Artald, who founded a new line of counts in the Lyonnais at the end of the tenth century see E. Fournial, "Recherches sur les comtes de Lyon du IXe et Xe siècles" in Le Moyen Age, LVIII (1952), 231-249. See a charter of 992 which probably refers to Count Artald in Cart. de Savigny, no. 53. For a reference to Count Gerald, who probably succeeded him, note a charter of 1017 in ibid., no. 602." (quoted from http://libro.uca.edu/lewis/sfc17.htm#N_15_)

[25454] The 1880 census of Jackson, Richland Co., OH shows Josiah, a farmer, age 55 (parents b. in PA) with Eva (wife, 51, parents b. in PA) and children (all b. in OH) Emma (21), Nancy (19), Cassius (16), Willie (11) and Elva (4) - also in the household is a farm laborer, Adolph Hominy (17). "Richland Shield & Banner," 7 January 1888, Vol. LXX, No. 33: "Shelby. Mr. Josiah Gump, aged about sixty-three years, died [date omitted by correspondent]. He resided immediately east of Shelby upon a fine farm. He was a very estimable man, beloved by all who knew him. He was remarkably quiet and unassuming in his intercourse with his neighbors and friends. He was an official member of the Lutheran church, was twice married and left a widow and eight children." "History of Richland County, Ohio..." (Mansfield, OH: A. A. Graham & Co., 1880), p. 791: "Gump, Josiah, farmer and stock-raiser; he was born in Bedford Co., Penn., Nov. 29, 1824. His father, Benjamin Gump, hearing of Ohio and of its fertile lands, resolved to leave his native hills and bring his family to the frontier settlements and hew out for himself and family a home; he entered an 80-acre tract, and set to work to clear away the timber on which to build his new home; he hewed the logs, instead of leaving them round, as was customary in those early days ; he first built the center, and some years after added additions to each end; the west addition was occupied as carpenter and cabinet-maker shop for some years; the main part of this building, now occupied by Josiah Gump, is perhaps one of the oldest in Jackson Township, having been built fifty-three years; the trees which surround this building were planted by the elder Gump, and now they spread their branches far and wide; there is a large and beautiful pear-tree standing at the west end of the dwelling which the old gentleman raised from the seed, and of which he enjoyed the fruit for many seasons; during the last years of his life, he was much afflicted with rheumatism; he spent an active life, worked hard, and was 'gathered home' in 1870, aged 83 ; his wife, whose maiden name was Esther Smith, died some time previous ; three children survive them-Josiah and two sisters. Josiah has spent his youth on the farm; he is a plain, unassuming man, honest and industrious. He was married to Matilda Cline in 1843 ; they had seven children ; she died in 1864. He was again married, to Miss Eve Bushey, of Shelby, Dec. 25, 1866; they have two children." Note: His dates are from Find A Grave Memorial 85101817 which includes a photo of his grave marker.

[58254] Frances' obituary: "Auburn and Bangor - Frances R. Mitchell, 86, a resident of Clover Health Care, Auburn, and previously Dirigo Pines Retirement Community, Orono, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018, with her family by her side. Frances was born on May 4, 1931, in Tremont, the daughter of Vera Seavey Lawson and Perry Lawson. Frances attended schools in West Tremont, graduating in 1949 from Pemetic High School before attending Washington State Normal School now known as University of Maine at Machias for three years majoring in Elementary Education. Frances completed her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Maine at Orono. Frances began her teaching career in Ellsworth before moving to New Jersey while her husband Richard was stationed at Fort Monmouth. She was a substitute teacher. Upon returning to Maine, Frances settled in the Bangor area teaching Kindergarten at the Mary Snow School until her retirement in 1984. Frances spent the next ten years working for Brookings and Smith Family Center. Frances was a lifetime member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Bangor. She organized and served on many committees including the Advent Tea, Rummage Sale, and being a member of the Alter Guild for the church. Frances, with her husband Richard, especially enjoyed serving as Eucharistic Visitors for the church visiting members that were homebound or in nursing homes. Frances was a member of the Penobscot County Retired Teachers Association, serving several years as President. She spear headed several projects and attended both local and state meetings. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma as well as the Bangor Herb Society. Frances enjoyed many opportunities to volunteer to bring joy, friendship and comfort to others around her. She volunteered at Eastern Maine Center, the local soup kitchens and went back into the Bangor schools to read to the children or do special projects with them. Frances loved her family dearly as well as her friends. She gave herself, her time and her love to them all. She especially enjoyed skiing at Sugarloaf, USA and swimming as well as kayaking at her camp on Branch Lake. Frances was always on the go enjoying activities and life with all. Frances is survived by her daughter, Jody Benson and her husband, Jeff, of Auburn; son, David Mitchell and his wife, Marcia, of Bangor; sister, Alice Cloak of Ellsworth and Orlando; one brother, Leonard Lawson of Bernard; grandsons, Josh Benson and wife, Hannah, of Chalfont, PA, and daughter, Sydney Frances, Josh Clement of Bangor and Jordan Clement of Bradford. She leaves behind two sisters-in-law, many special nieces, nephews, and caring friends who were all dear to her heart. Her niece, Mary, and sister, Alice, of Ellsworth and Orlando, hold an extra special place because they visited her faithfully every week. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Richard, her parents, her brothers, Charles, George and Perry Jr., and her grandson, Jamie Benson, as well as several sisters and brothers-in-law. The family of Frances Mitchell wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Dirigo Pines in Orono who cared for her for four years before her move to Clover Health Care in Auburn. The staff at Clover Health Care took her in as family where she received outstanding care. Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice made her last three months safe, supportive and peaceful. Thank you for all the time and guidance for Frances and her family."

Find A Grave memorial 103256253 offers: "Knight of Lumley and Stranton, Durham, Kilton, Yorkshire. Son of Sir Ralph Lumley and Eleanor de Neville, daughter of Sir John de Neville and Maud de Percy, daughter of Sir Henry and descendant of King John of England. Grandson of Sir Marmaduke de Lumley and his second wife Margaret de Holand, and heir to his older brother, Thomas. Husband of Felice Redmayne, daughter of Sir Matthew Redmayne of Newcastle, widow of John Woodcock, mercer of London. They married before Feb 1410 and had one son and three daughters; Sir Thomas, Eleanor, Anne and Maud, wife of Sir William
Thirkeld. John applied to Parliament in Nov 1411 and obtained a declaration under the Great Seal that restored his name and capacity to hold the possessions of his late father and brother, despite the disagreements they had held. In 1419, he was granted one fourth interest in the manor of Seton Kerrowe, Durham by his uncle, Ralph Neville, Earl of Westmorland. John was slain at the Battle of Beauge in Anjou, and was buried in the Cathedral yard at Durham, but later removed to Chester-le-Street in 1594, along with the remains of his father."
