[56882] The unverified file LXQN-9CM in familysearch.org offers: "When Merill Perkins Hinckley was born on 29 November 1853, in Blue Hill, Hancock, Maine, United States, his father, William Wallace Hinckley, was 25 and his mother, Mary Susan Perkins, was 20. He married Caroline Matilda Littlefield on 23 October 1875, in Penobscot, Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Penobscot, Hancock, Maine, United States in 1880. In 1919, his occupation is listed as merchant in Blue Hill, Hancock, Maine, United States. He died on 8 November 1908, in Blue Hill, Hancock, Maine, United States, at the age of 54, and was buried in Seaside Cemetery, Blue Hill, Hancock, Maine, United States."
[47311] "The News-Chronicle [Shippensburg, PA], 23 November 1951": "Aged Newville Woman Dies at Son's Home. Mrs. Margaret L. Miller, 89, widow of the late Jacob Miller, died Tuesday morning at the home of her son, Grover C. Miller, 46 Vine st., Newville after an illness of several months. Mrs. Miller, one of Newville's oldest residents, was the last of her family. Her survivors include three sons, Charles Salisbury of Streator, Ill., and Lemuel Salisbury of Newville, in addition to Mr. Miller. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kendel (sic), Mrs. Miller was born Nov. 29, 1861. She was a member of the Doubling Gap Church of God."
[360] George's wife, Eleanor, m. (2), soon after George's death, to Henry Brookins of Portsmouth, NH. George is perhaps he of this name who emigrated from Burgh-Apton, Co. Norfolk, England to Hingham, Mass. His will is dated 5 April 1671, and he mentioned wife Eleanor and divided his estate between son Nathan and daughter Elizabeth (who may have died young, as Nathan seems to have owned the whole estate). George apparently settled early at Black Point (now Prouts Neck), Scarborough, Cumberland Co., Maine. He was rather young when he died. {Info. via Prodigy from Mary Dobard quoting Ernest Knight of Raymond, Maine, 2 April 1991.}

[29030] An unverified typescript of unknown origin owned by William Scruggs, Jr. in 2009 provides: "William Scroggs youngest son of Francis and Jeane of Albury, settled in London. He married Mary Wright in 1595 and was the father by her of Janes, William and Margaret. Of these, William resided in Essex County and left issue there by his wife of a son - Sir William Scroggs, who married Anne, daughter of Edward Fettiplace of Berkshire. Sir William was the father of another Sir William as well as of two daughters, Anne and Elizabeth. The son owned land is Essex, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire and was knighted in 1581. His first wife, Mary, daughter of Sir John Churchill, died only a year after her marriage, without issue. His second wife was Anne, daughter of Matthew Bluck in 1685. The children of the second marriage were William, Charles, Thomas, Anne and Elizabeth."
