"We have been compiling a history of the Burnham family and everything we can find about Ipswich and Essex County. I would be glad to send you a copy of what we have including the text of the will of Benjamin Burnham who was one of the two Burnham brothers left behind in England.
"In regard to your Thomas Burnham. His wife was Mary Lawrence. Her natural father was Thomas Lawrence who died in England. She arrived in America with her mother Joan Antrobus and her step-father John Tuttle. The documentation for this comes from the historical record of Ipswich - copies of which I can also send you.
"There was another Thomas Burnham in Essex County at about the same time. He arrived sometime in the late 1660's. There is little information about him but some descendants of this Thomas have mistaken him for your Thomas.
"I am attempting to obtain a copy of a book "Lt. Thomas Burnham," which describes the activities of Thomas Burnham sr. and his son Thomas.
"We have a cousin Caroline Burnham who is a descendant of both John and Thomas Burnham. She lives in Scarborough on land that has been in the Burnham family for 300 years. She has been collecting Burnham information and stories from all over and is a great source of material. We also both belong to Essex-Roots, a newsletter about the descendants of the original inhabitants of Essex County. You might find it of interest."

I have been tasked with writing my own obituary. Makes sense in a way. No one knows me as well as I know me. I was born Oct. 7, 1943, in Blue Hill. I came into this world as a chubby baby with wispy white hair; I leave the same way, fat with wispy white hair. I leave to celebrate my life; my three sons Gary, James and Matthew, their patient wives, Michelle, Nicki and Dianna. Six smart and wonderful grandchildren; Joshua, Ella, Hailey, Teagan, Tanner and Riley. They all know who belongs to whom. Conversely, I leave to celebrate my passing, my two ex-wives, who believe I am responsible for everything wrong in this world. Many memories were created along the way including my 43 mostly good years as an electronic tech at Pratt and Whitney. I go to join my parents and relatives in a family ceremony at Pine Grove Cemetery in Sedgwick. Robert was the son of Nora (Staples) and Basil Grindle. He is survived by, in addition to his sons and their families, his sister Barbara M. Grindle, brothers Jack and his wife, Barbara, Tom and his wife, May, Roger and his wife, Susan, and his brother-in-law Raymond McVay, their children and families. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Jane."

[57330] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 14 June 2022: "West Bath - Judy Newman of West Bath, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2022, at Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick. She was born on October 20, 1953, in Lubec, to parents Donald Paul Richardson and Eleanor Mae (Archer) Richardson. She graduated from Lubec High School in 1972 and from the University of Maine at Orono in 1986, majoring in Secondary Education. Judy and her husband, Dana Newman, were married in 1972. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary September 2nd of this year. After living in Lubec for two years, Judy and her family moved to Bucksport. While raising her family, Judy began taking classes at Bangor Community College in 1979. She achieved her goal of becoming a secondary school teacher upon graduation from the University of Maine at Orono in 1986. Judy began her teaching career at Bucksport High School in 1987. She taught U.S. history, psychology, English and humanities. Her co-curricular activities included Mock Trial and co/Student Council advisor with her husband, Dana, a math teacher at Bucksport High School. She became the social studies department head in 2002. Judy took a medical retirement from teaching in 2008 after being diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. Despite frequent trips to Dana Farber in Boston, Judy did all she could to enjoy life to the fullest. In 2008 she and her husband moved to southern Maine to be closer to their grandchildren. Her happy, upbeat personality brightened the day of those around her. These qualities made her a perfect Parrothead, so Jude and Dana joined the Jimmy Buffett loving, Parrothead Club of Maine in 2008. She assisted club members in Relay for Life and Habitat for Humanity projects, and hosted Christmas parties to benefit the Good Shepherd Food Bank. Judy and her husband traveled throughout the Caribbean and the Florida Keys. Her determination to live life to the fullest led her to a stem cell transplant in 2013. Unfortunately, the transplant led to graft vs. host disease. GVHD caused serious physical challenges, including thickened skin issues, internal problems, and blindness. Five clinical trials and numerous other treatments were unsuccessful and limited her to a wheelchair. Judy will be forever loved and missed by those who survive her, her husband, Dana of West Bath; daughter, Melanie Moll, son-in-law, Brad Moll, and grandchildren Emma and Ben Moll, of Yarmouth; son, Michael Newman of Hancock; mother, Eleanor Richardson of Machias; sister, Terry and brother-in-law, James Murphy, of Lubec; brother, Ralph and sister-in law, Evelyn Richardson, of Idaho; brother, David and sister-in-law, Chrissie Richardson, of Dedham; brother, Mark and sister-in-law, Chris Richardson, of Berlin, Germany; brother, Steven and Barb Richardson of Machias. In addition, Uncle Ralph and Aunt Eva; and special friends, Jean Mercer and Holly Bertrand; and many nieces and nephews. We will miss Judy's kindness, compassion, quick smile, and a genuine concern for others."

In 2007 http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/SCOTLAND.htm offers: "Duncan ([1060/65]-murdered Monthechim/Mondynes, Kincardineshire 12 Nov 1094, bur Dunfermline Abbey, Fife). William of Malmesbury names Duncan as illegitimate son of King Malcolm, when recording that he was knighted by William II King of England. There is no indication of the identity of Duncan's mother, as explained above. His birth date is estimated on the assumption that he was a child when given as a hostage in 1072, which precludes his being the son of Queen Margaret. It is possible that he was illegitimate, although there is no indication that he was thereby excluded from succession to the throne. 'Dunecanus fili regii Malcolum constans hereditarie rex Scotie' donated property to the monks of St Cuthbert for the souls of his father, 'fratri mei, uxore mea et infans mei' (all unnamed), by charter dated 1093, witnessed by 'Eadgari, [Etheread], Aceard, Ulf, Malcolub, Hormer, Heming, Ælfric, Teodbold, Earnulf'. The copy in Early Scottish Charters lists the witnesses in a different order, and adds 'Grentonis...Vinget'. He was given as a hostage to William I King of England at Abernethy in 1072 to guarantee his father's good behaviour. The Annals of Ulster record that the 'French went into Scotland and brought away the son of the king of Scotland as hostage' in 1072, which presumably refers to Duncan as any of his half-brothers (if then born) would have been infants at the time. He was kept in Normandy. Florence of Worcester records that Robert III 'Curthose' Duke of Normandy released 'Ulfam Haroldi quondam regis Anglorum filium, Dunechaldumque regis Scottorum Malcolmi filium' from custody after his father's death in Sep 1087, knighted them and allowed them to leave Normandy. He joined William II King of England and remained at his court in England. Florence of Worcester records that Duncan served in the army of King William II, who supported his bid to depose his uncle, and to whom Duncan swore fealty before leaving for Scotland. He deposed his uncle in 1094 and proclaimed himself Duncan II King of Scotland. Florence of Worcester records that 'Dufenaldum regis Malcolmi fratrem' was elected king after his brother's death but that 'filius regis Malcolmi Dunechain' expelled 'patruum suum Dufenaldum'. He was murdered by Malpei Mormaer of the Mearns. The Annals of Ulster record that 'Donnchad son of Mael Coluim, king of Scotland, was treacherously killed by his own brothers Domnall and Edmond' in 1094. [19375] The Northern Lyon County Journal [Allen, Kansas]," 2 October 1913, p. 1: "Henry T. Swarner died at the state hospital at Osawalomie, Kansas, after a few days illness. The body was brought to Allen on Friday and funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Peters of Bushong, after which the body was taken to the Bushong cemetery where burial was made. Henry T. Swarner was born in Perry County, Pennsylvania, June 7, 1828, died at Osawatomie, Kansas, September 25, 1913, aged 85 years 3 months and 18 days. He was united in marriage to Matilda Jane Loy, at Landisburg, Pennsylvania, December, 2, 1856, and came to Kansas May 1, 1879. To this union was born 6 children. Three have gone on before. He united with the Luthern church when a boy. He leaves to mourn his death an aged wife and three sons, David, Jerome and Theodore. Theodore was unable to be present at the funeral." In addition to the children shown here, Henry and Matilda had Clara, Amos, Harry and Theodore (who d. in 1920).
