Richard fought in the French wars of Edward III and was also appointed seneschal of Gascony. Their son, also Richard, was summoned to Parliament by Edward III and regularly participated through to 1379. He was appointed 1st Baron Stafford of Clifton, created by writ of summons on 8 January 1371." Perhaps William is the father of Job Kenniston of Exeter, NH who m. Sarah Magoon in 1735 and had the famous Davis Kenniston of Boston Tea Party fame. This is proposed by Mabel Rapp's "The Kenison Story", p. 13. William's spouse is said to be Nettie Vandt (b. ca. 1650 in Portsmouth, Rockingham Co, NH).
