[61149] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 11 March 2022: "Brewer, Maine - Lillian Estelle Winchester, 96, passed away on March 10, 2022, at a Orono healthcare facility. She was born July 18, 1925, in Brewer the daughter of Harry and Blanche (Kingsbury) Winslow. Lillian was the beloved wife of Sidney Winchester who passed away on March 8, 2012. Theirs was a true love story. They married and devoted to each other for sixty-eight years. They traveled together all over the world and made many fond memories. Of all the memories made, the best of all were experienced at their beautiful cottage on Green Lake surrounded by family (four generations) and friends. Lillian attended Brewer schools and graduated from Brewer High School in the class of 1943. She also graduated from the Western Union Telegraph School of Bangor. She was employed by Emple Knitting Mills for over twenty-eight years. She was a member of the Sunshine Club, Brewer Garden and Bird Club, Brewer M.P.M. and the Brewer Historical Society. She also enjoyed playing Bridge for many years with her many friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Clarence, Frederick, Carl, Arthur, Ernest, Kenneth and John Winslow. Also before her were in-laws Eugene 'Gene' and Lawrence 'Lonnie' Winchester and Marguerite 'Margie' Clough. Lillian is survived by her nieces, Jeanine York, Eleanor Goodine, Robin Reed and Candice Winslow. She is also survived by nephews, Lawrence "Larry" Winchester, Sidney Winchester, Carl Winslow Jr. and many very special nieces and nephews."
