Listed in the Will of his father Joseph Isacke. Richard was born in that part of Calvert County which about 1705 became Queen Anne's Parish in Prince George's County. He was listed as a planter and a Gentleman and r. on 150 acres called Stoney Plains. Death: Will made 10 March 1759; probated 28 June 1759 in Prince Georges County, Maryland. (FHL 14279 pg. 507-508). See Colonial Families of the United States, Vol. 3, pp 268-269. Was under 21 years of age when father made will 29 December 1688.
Richard's will: In the Name of God Amen. This tenth day of March in the year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty-nine I Richard Isaac Senr of Prince Georges County and province aforesaid being very weak but in Sound Mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament in Manner and form following. Revoking all other Will or Wills by me heretofore made. And first I commend my Soul to God hoping through the Mediation of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savour to obtain Eternal Life and my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent mannour as to my Executors hereafter named shall seem meet. Item: It is my Will that all my Just Debts and funeral Charges be paid without Sute of Law or trouble by my Executors hereafter Mentioned. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Richard Isaac his heirs and assigns forever Two Hundred and Fifty acres of land, it being the Remaining part of a Tract of Land called Isaac Park, the tract containing Three hundred and Sixty five acres, One Hundred Fifty of which I have herebefore given by Deed and Gift to my son-in-law Westall Ridgely: and Also I give to my Son Richard one other Tract of Land called Beall's Park, containing one hundred and Ten Acres it Lying Between the Pant and Piny Branches, Also two hundred Acres of Land called The Addition. The above named Land to him his heirs and assigns forever. Item. I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Isaac One hundred and fifty Acres of Land called Stoney Plains on which is now my Dwelling house also one Hundred & twenty five acres called Maryes Delight joyning to the tract of Stoney Plains; also fourty five Acres of Land part of a tract of Land called Isaac Discovery to him his heirs and assigns forever. Lastly I give the Remaining part of my Estate wheresoever and whatsoever to be equally Divided amongst my two Sons and five Daughters namely Richard Isaac, Joseph Isaac, Sarah Ridgely, Rachel Jones, Keziah Fowler, Druscilla Fowler, Jemima Jacobs: each to have their equal Shear in Such things as my Estate consists off at the apraisement and this my last will and Testament I constitute ordain and apoint my two sons Richard Isaac and Joseph Isaac my full whole and sole Executors in witness whereof I have here unto sett my hand and seale the day and year above. Signed Sealed Published and delivered - Richard Isaac to be the Last Will and Testament of Richard Isaac in presence of us, John Macgill, Marah Mareen Duvall, John Duvall. On the back of this Will was Endorsed Pr Geos on the 28th day of June 1759. John MacGill, Marah Maureen Duvall & John Duvall made on the holy Evangelists of Almighty God that they did see Richard Isaac late of Prince Geos County deceased Sign Seal & deliver the within instrument of writing as his full last Will & Testament & that at the time of his so doing (to the best of their apprehensions) he was of Sound Memory & of a disposing mind & that at his request & in his presence they Severally Sign'd the same as witnesses. Tract of land called Isaac Park which contained 365 acres was split with 250 acres given to son Richard and 150 that was already been deeded to son-in-law Westall Ridgely. (Could one of these figures be 215 acres or 115 acres?)
"Colonial Dames of America, Vol. 1, p.87 states Richard was a Justice of the Peace in 1753 and that he was a Vestryman of St. Ann's Parish.
