[721] Jane appears as "widow Jane Haines" in a pew list of the Old Meeting House dated 1693; the church was built in 1658. Yet she appears to have m. (2) 28 Dec 1671 in ME to Isaac Marston (b. 1650), as indicated in the "Brackett Genealogy" of 1907 - not verified by AEM. Ancestral File states her marriage to Isaac Marston was 28 Dec 1674 in Portsmouth, NY (AFN: 95C7-KN). Family Tree Maker's "Early New England Settlers" (CD #504) in "One Hundred and Sixty Allied Families," p. 40, reports that Jane m. (1) 1671 Matthias Haines (son of Samuel Haines) and (2) 1697 Isaac Marston (son of Thomas Marston and Mary Estow). Her places of birth and death are from Find A Grave memorial 91999831 in 2019.

[52055] For Jesse and descendants, see the unverified file KN16-P89 in familysearch.org. "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 17 November 1952, p. 6: "Franklin, Nov. 16 - Jesse Bunker, 85, died Friday at a Bar Harbor hospital. He was born in Franklin June 7, 1867, son of the late Layfette and Sarah Bunker. He was a member of the Redmen of Franklin. Mr. Bunker is survived by his wife, Hattie; two sons, James of Franklin and Neil of Bar Harbor; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Marshall of South Portland; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Donnell of Frankin, and Mrs. Eva Swan of Bangor; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren,"
[38547] Cora is daughter of George Butler. Ancestry.com offers: "Butler Name Meaning - English and Irish: from a word that originally denoted a wine steward, usually the chief servant of a medieval household, from Norman French butuiller (Old French bouteillier, Latin buticularius, from buticula 'bottle'). In the large households of royalty and the most powerful nobility, the title came to denote an officer of high rank and responsibility, only nominally concerned with the supply of wine, if at all. Anglicized form of French Boutilier."

[23952] http://www.britannia.com/bios/ebk/judocdb.html states: "Prince Judoc (or Josse, as he was commonly called) was educated at the monastery of San Maelmon. On the abdication of his brother, Prince Judicael of Domnonee, around 636, Judoc immediately ascended the Domnonian throne. He asked for eight days to consider his position, but decided he too preferred the religious life and fled to Ponthieu where he became chaplain to the local Count. Judoc later retired from the World to Ray where he set up a small hermitage. Unfortunately, the locals took to worrying him for miracle cures and he was forced to move to Caer-Runiac (Saint-Josse-sur-Mer) to escape them. He lived there thirteen years, and then in the Valley of Pidrague before travelling on a pilgrimage to Rome. Judoc died some time after his return, on 13th December 675. St.Judoc's bones were enshrined at Saint-Josse, before being taken to Winchester New Minster in 902 by some refugee monks. Hence his popularity in England."

[41188] Charles registered for the draft 12 Sept 1918 as a steam fitter residing at 271 Canton, Detroit, MI with wife Lillie Edith. The draft registration states he is partially blind in the right eye. The 1920 federal census lists him in Ward 15, Detroit, MI with wife Lillian and daughters Glayda (age 20) and Betty (age 3). "The Akron Beacon Journal [Akron, Ohio], 3 April 1964," p. 38: "Charles F. Fritch, 83, of 27 Grand av., first cousin of former Common Pleas Court Judge E. D. [41651] The unverified Sandy Mitchel Family Tree in 2016 in Ancestry.com offers: "When James Mitchell was born on January 9, 1683, his father, Abraham, was 24. He had five sons with Janet Rule between 1712 and 1720. He died on January 9, 1772, in Yorktown, Virginia, having lived a long life of 89 years." [Did he really die on his birthday?]

[5461] Louis, Prince of Battenberg, changed his name to Montbatten in 1917, in the same year as George V changed the surname of the royal family to Windsor. He was fluent in French and German, a skilled pianist and artist, who had been elected to the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours. In October, 1914 the German-accented Prince Louis, feeling that the criticisms of him as head of the Navy were a distraction from the war effort, resigned as First Sea Lord.
