[1227] Eliakim moved to Plymouth, MA soon after the birth of their first child and at the time his parents moved to Lebanon, CT. He and Mary became members of the church in Plymouth in 1737, and he served there on the jury and was a representative to the Assembly in 1742. About 1750 they moved to Lebanon, CT. On 7 Sept 1753 Eliakim m. Mrs. Martha Clark. In 1760, with his second wife, Martha, Eliakim and his brother Elias and others from Connecticut emigrated to lands granted to them at Cornwallis, Nova Scotia, where he died during the first winter. Most of the family remained there, and his son Charles founded an extensive Canadian branch of the Tupper family. His descendants include the Rt. Hon. Sir Charles Tupper, b. 1821, Prime Minister of Nova Scotia (1864-67) and of Canada (1896).

He attended public school in the Klingerstown area and was of the Protestant faith. Before residing permanently in Tower City, he also lived in Lebanon. He was co-owner of a family operated company for 44 years in the coal mining industry. He was a member of the Independent Coal Miners Assoc. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Marlin will be greatly missedby his wife of 48 years Evamae ( Moyer ) Wolfgang, formerly of Lebanon; his children Marlin Jr."Ed" of Pottsville, Lenwood and wife Krystie of Tower City, Salinda and her husband D. Scott Vankirk of Wiconisco. Grandchildren, Anthony Berger and wife Lindsey of Oklahoma, Benjamin N. Wolfgang of Williamstown, Amber L. Wolfgang of Tower City Alicia J. Wolfgang of Elizabethville and Jared T. Wolfgang of Tower City. 1 Great Granddaughter Madison G. Berger of OK. Siblings George of Ohio, Ethel Hatter of Hegins, Eleanor Hoke of Lebanon, Kenneth and his companion Annamae of Donaldson, Lila Lucas of Donaldson, Robert and his wife Betty of Hegins, Sister-in-law Alice Wolfgang of Pottsville.
