[50308] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 23 January 2019": "Orrington - Brian Ernest Bowden, 71, passed away peacefully at his home, January 21, 2019. He was born July 28, 1947, the son of Donald and Thelma (Perkins) Bowden. After graduating from Brewer High School Brian went to work at Pratt Whitney in Connecticut. During his time there he met his wife, Darlene. In 1974 Brian and Darlene moved back to his hometown of Orrington, where they raised their children, Laura and Greg. Brian and his father, Donald, spent many years renovating a home that was built in 1837, which was a great source of pride for him and his family. When he wasn't working on his home, he worked at General Electric in Bangor.Brian loved hiking, climbing Mount Katahdin 10 times, as well as most of the trails at Acadia National Park. He was an avid New England Sports fan, and enjoyed watching games with his family. Brian had great taste in a variety of music, as evidenced by his extensive record and CD collection. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Orrington, where he enjoyed the fellowship with his church family. Brian also volunteered at the Curran Farm, and the Orrington Historical Society. In addition to his parents, Brian was predeceased by his brother, Paul Bowden. Brian is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Darlene; a daughter, Laura; son, Greg and his wife, Jennifer; four brothers, Richard and his wife, Charlene, Phil and Nancy, Barry and Dinah, Keith and Heather; and his granddaughter, Emma."

[424] George emigrated from Greenwich, Co. Kent, England and resided at Barnstable, MA. His parents are George Lewes and Denise Foreman {-ref. N.E. Historical & Gen. Register, XVII:162-3 & XCVI:79}.
