The 1850 census at Cherryfield, ME lists John Archer (age 67, bricklayer, b. in ME) with wife Lucy (age 52, b. in ME) with children Samuel G. (age 30, mason), Harriet (20), Amelia (27) and Direxa E. Dunn (age 19) with Joseph A. Dunn! The 1860 census of Cherryfield lists John and Lucy alone in their household, and next door to his nephew Freeman Archer (age 27), Emily (age 37) and Eliza (age 1).
