He was born at Penobscot, Nov. 10, 1916, the son of Earl R. and Nina (Grindle) Leach. He worked at the St. Regis Paper Co. for 37 years, and was a member of Rising Star Masonic Lodge in Penobscot. Surviving are his wife, Helen of Penobscot; his mother, of Bangor; one son, Fernald of Blue Hill; two daughters, Geraldine Bragdon of Blue Hill and Miss Norene Leach of Bangor; five brothers, Pearl of Penobscot, George of Bucksport, James of Berlin, Conn., Edward of Framingham, Mass., and Earl Jr. of Orland; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Leach of Penobscot; four grandchildren."
