[21184] Lena m. (1) John J. Phillips (b. in August, 1837 in France, d. 10 Jan 1917 in PA, m. 22 April 1905, buried with Lena). John came to America about 1853. "The Standard [Lykens, Pennsylvania], 10 February 1939" p. 4: "Mrs. Lena Elizabeth Hartman Phillips, aged 85 years, 3 months and 2 days died at her home 259 E. Market street, Willliamstown, at 11:35 P. M., death having been attributed to conmplications. Mrs. Phillips was bom in Gratz on November 4, 1853. She was preceded in death a number of years ago by her husband, John Phillips. She was a member of the Gratz Lutheran Church in which church cemetery burial was made Thursday morning following services held at ten o'clock in the Dodson Funeral Chapel by the Rev. H. G. Berkey. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William B. Evans, Williamstown; two grandchildren, Mrs. Ida B. Marks, Williamstown, and Mrs. Michael Brennan, Minersville, and two great-grandchildren."
[3773] Siegfried II married Edith of Longhwy.
[42099] Harriet's obituary (from Find A Grave): "Mrs. George W. Sanderson of 518 Mifflin Street, passed away suddenly early Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. C. Poffenberger, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where she had been making a protracted visit. The immediate cause of death was a cerebral hemorrhage, although she had been in failing health for several years. Mrs. Sanderson was born in Huntingdon on April 5, 1855, the daughter of G. Ashman and Hannah Garretson Miller, and was a descendant of the pioneer families of the Juniata valley. Her earliest American ancestors were Scotch-Irish and English Quaker colonists who were actively engaged in developing educational progress in Maryland as well as being extensive landholders and planters. She received her education in the public schools, the Old Academy, and Juniata College, then a Normal School. She later taught school at various places in the county and in Bedford, during which period she had as pupils many prominent men of this community, who hold her in affectionate regard and remembrance. In 1884 she was united in marriage to G. W. Sanderson, a well known merchant here for many years, who preceded her in death by seven years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cloyd Shuss, of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. J. C. Poffenberger, of Cleveland. Five grandchildren also survive: Mrs. George Blankford and Elinor Shuss, of Baltimore; Margaret, Jean and Cameron Poffenberger, of Cleveland. She was a faithful member of the St. James Lutheran church, and of the Standing Stone Chapter of the D.A.R. During her entire life she took an active and keen interest in public affairs, particularly those of educational import, and she will be sorely missed by a host of neighbors, relatives and friends."
