She was born March 26, 1919, in Sedgwick, the daughter of Orrin Washington and Lucy Mae (Chatto) Gray. She graduated from Sedgwick Primary School and worked much of her life locally. Abbie was a member of the North Brooksville Methodist Church and a 65-year member of the Rainbow-Rosier Grange No. 203 of Brooksville. She served as an advisor to the Gray-2000 Family Reunion. Her husband, Allen; and her son, Sheridan, predeceased Abbie. Survivors include her sister, Ruth Thompson of Sedgwick; her son, Sumner; her daughter, Sherris and her husband, Fred Babson of Brooksville; her daughter-in-law, Brenda of Orland; her son, Delmont and his wife, Helen of Waltham; eight grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren; generations of nieces and nephews, mostly living in Hancock county. The funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at the North Brooksville Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Hutchins, one of Abbie's nephews, officiating."
