[19337] Albert was Duke in 1404, and King of the Romans and of Hungary and Bohemia, 1437-1439 as Albert II. Albert and Elizabeth had Ladislas, Posthumus Duke of Austria, 1439-1457, King of Bohemia, 1440, and King of Hungary, 1444 - o.s.p. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_II_of_Germany which states in part "Albert succeeded to the duchy of Austria on his father's death in 1404. After receiving a good education, he undertook the government of Austria in 1411, and succeeded, with the aid of his advisers, in ridding the duchy of the evils which had arisen during his minority. He assisted the German emperor Sigismund, who was also king of Hungary and Bohemia, in his campaigns against the Hussites, and in 1422 married Elizabeth, daughter and heiress of Sigismund, who designated him as his successor. (Note that she was not the daughter of Sigismund's first wife Mary of Hungary, and thus not descended from Angevin kings of Hungary, but in many ways, she descended from the old Arpád kings of Hungary.) . . . When Sigismund died in 1437, Albert was crowned king of Hungary on January 1, 1438, and although crowned king of Bohemia six months later, he was unable to obtain possession of the country. He was engaged in warfare with the Bohemians and their Polish allies, when on March 18, 1438 he was chosen as German emperor at Frankfurt, an honour which he does not appear to have sought. He thus was 'King of the Romans', but he was not crowned as Holy Roman Emperor. Afterwards engaged in defending Hungary against the attacks of the Turks, he died on October 27, 1439 at Langendorf, and was buried at Stuhlweissenburg. Albert was an energetic and warlike prince, whose short reign gave great promise of usefulness for Germany."

[48017] Find A Grave offers Raymond's obituary: "Raymond C. Brown, Sr., 86, a resident of 208 S. Main Street, Muncy, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2004 in the Muncy Valley Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Allenwood, Union County, PA, on Sunday, May 19, 1918, he was the son of the late Claude A. and Katy May (Drumheller) Brown. He was the husband of Pauline E. (Murray) Brown with whom he celebrated a 59th wedding anniversary on August 8, 2004. Ray was a 1936 graduate of the former Watsontown High School. He served during the Second World War with the U.S. Navy in the European Theatre. Mr. Brown was a Ford dealer with the Murray Motor Company at Muncy, PA for over 50 years . He previously had been employed by the former Philco Corporation and Stone Webster Construction Company. He was an active member of the Muncy Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Washington Presbyterian Church at Allenwood. Raymond was a 50 year member of Watsontown Lodge #401 Free and Accepted Masons, Warrior Run Royal Arch Chapter #246 and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Williamsport (Consistory). He was a member and past president of the Lycoming County New Car Dealers Association. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Raymond C. 'Sonny' (Becky) Brown, Jr., Muncy, PA; William C. (Marilyn) Brown, Muncy, PA; 2 daughters, Kathryn M. (Frank) Moncado, Newtown, PA; Pattie E.B. (Charles) Guttenplan, North Wales, PA; 9 grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew Brown; Kathryn R. and Sarah Moncado; Cassandra, Carina and Clarissa Brown; Jacob and Aaron Guttenplan. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters."
[1672] Barbara died shortly after 1850; she was 78 years old in the census that year. It appears that William Bruce, Jr., shown here, is NOT provable (or even likely) as her husband!
