[59061] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine]," 25 March 2025: "Linda C. Gray Harmon, 69, passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2025. Linda was born on Mount Desert Island in 1955. She is survived by her twin sons of whom she was most proud, James (and Kate) and Jason (and Megan). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dillan (and Abbie), Lucas (and Emily), Bryce, and Madisyn. Linda is also survived by her twin sister, Dorothy, and other sisters, Mary and Sheila; a brother, Carl, and their mother, Virginia Salisbury Gray. Linda was pre-deceased by her father Shirley Leon Gray, her sister Barbie, and the love of her life of 17 years, Fred Crowley. Linda spent many years working diligently to set the example for her twin sons. She was a CNA for many years, a little league coach for her boys, she made wreaths, raked blueberries, and eventually graduated beauty school. Her greatest accomplishment was in how well she loved her family. She lit up when she saw Jason and James and made any visitor feel as though they were the most important person in the room. Her heart, quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed."

[51441] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 8 December 2010": "Linwood L. McManus passed away Dec. 2, 2010, at his winter home in Haines City, Fla., after struggling with Lou Gehrig's disease for several years. He was born Dec. 9, 1938, in Cherryfield, the son of Francis (Tam) and Frances Smith McManus. He was called 'Bub' by his family and boyhood friends, and later his business associates called him 'Lenny.' At a very young age he was taught to drive a truck by sitting on his grandfather's lap, as his family owned a trucking business. It started a love affair with anything with wheels and motors, especially trucks. He ran his own trucking business all his working life. After he and his wife, Mildred, returned to Maine to live in Steuben he ran Forest Transport trucking. He continued to drive as long as his health permitted. He was happiest in a truck and on the road. The McManus Irish ancestry showed in his personality. He loved people, was very gregarious and the life of the party. His Irish wit and joking made him a multitude of friends and he knew everyone it seemed. His good humor remained with him until he died. Lenny/Bub is survived by his fiancee, loving companion and caregiver, the Rev. Joyce Ingrisano of Eastbrook and Haines City, Fla.; his five children, Lawrence McManus and wife, Dawn, of Addison, Suzette Grant of Columbia Falls, Roy Douglas McManus of Haverhill, Mass., and his fiancee, Lisa Wheaton, Laurie Perry and husband, Leon, of Addison and Charles McManus and wife, Cheryl; three siblings, Faye J. Lunt of Old Town, Ellen Tenan and husband, Neil, of Cherryfield and Paul E. McManus and wife, Pam, of Eddington; an uncle, Preston E. Smith of Cherryfield; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Mildred, in 2006; a grandson, Brandon McManus; his parents; and a beloved grandfather, Roy G. Smith."
