[47934] Find A Grave memorial 99408372 lists her children: Charles McCaslin (1862-1927) & Louis MacCaslin (1865-1914). An unverified file in Ancestry.com in 2020 state Emily is daughter of Samuel Charles Archer (b. in 1803 in Holborn, London, England, d. 1841) and Maria Fowler (1804-1853).
[1540] http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~lawrpaul reports that Robert I is son of William IV of Auvergne (not verified) and that William IV is son of Guy I of Auvergne, the son of Robertus II of Auvergne and Ingelberge de Beaumont (Dame Beaumont in the Chalonais). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auvergne_(province) reports: "Auvergne was a province of France deriving its name from the Arverni, a Gallic tribe who once occupied the area, well known for its fierce resistance, led by Vercingetorix, to conquest by the Roman Empire. Christianized by Saint Austremoine, Auvergne was quite prosperous during the Roman ages. After a short time under the Visigoths, it was conquered by the Franks, in 507. The medieval times were for Auvergne a period of great development, especially between the Xth and XIIIth centuries, with the building of famous abbeys and churches in a Romanesque style. In the year 1095, the historic Council of Clermont was held there, to rally support for the First Crusade."

See "Medieval English Ancestors of Certain Americans," Carl Boyer III (Santa Clarita, CA, 2001), p. 213. http://www.geneajourney.com/ros.html reports: "His parentage is unknown, but he probably derived his surname from Ros in Holderness, Yorkshire. He was steward (dapifer) of the Count of Aumale, lord of Holderness. Piers gave land in Gilling near Helmsley, and the church, to St. Mary's Abbey in Yorkshire." Regarding his wife, this site reports: "Adeline was the youngest of three sisters and coheirs of Walter Espec, Lord of Helmsley, who was founder of three monasteries, Kirkham (1122) and Rievaulx (1131), both in Yorkshire, as well as Wardon in Bedfordshire (1134)."
