Surviving, besides his wife, are three sons, Donald Stambaugh, Franklintown; William Stambaugh, Dillsburg; Michael Stambaugh, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Linda Davis, York Springs; Mrs. Joanne Renard, Grantham; Jean Patricia and Diane Stambaugh, all at home; five grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Linigley, Jarrettsville, Md., and Mrs. Edward McGee, Media. Rev. Norman L. Bortner, pastor of Trindle Springs Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg will officiate at funeral services Monday at 2 p.m. at the Cocklin Funeral Home, Dillsburg. Interment will be in Dillsburg Cemetery."

[40583] Find A Grave Memorial 14645731 offers: "From the book, Akron and Summit County by Karl Grismer - written in the early 1900's: John B. Woods was born in Springfield Township Dec. 17, 1823, a son of Samuel and Sophia (Boal) Woods. In his early manhood he opened a general store at Uniontown and later established a tannery. In 1850 he bought the Millheim flouring mill and in 1856 leased the Tritt Mill which he ran successfully for several years. In 1860 Mr. Woods sold his mercantile and milling inertest, came to Akron and in 1862 built a three story brick block on the North West corner of Market and Main streets. In 1864 he founded the Exchange Bank, in 1867 the City Bank and in 1883, The City National Bank. He served as president of the City National until he resigned in Oct., 1890. On March 26, 1848, he was married to Susan Willis of Stark County. They had six children: Emily Jane (Mrs. Robert L. Andrew): Frank, Perry, John B., Albert T., and Mary H." From Vivian M.
