[52751] Find A Grave memorial 191681868 offers: "Florence was the son of Albert M. Carter and Josephine Jones of Edmunds. Florence married Julia A. Cook in 1896 and had children Josephine 'Josie', Elsie Maud and Clyde C., Seth E., Lincoln Sprague, and Gracie. They were residing in Plantation #14 in the 1900 census and by 1910 they were in Edmunds and his occupation was that of river boatman. Note: Stone indicates born 1876; the VR gives date as January 17, 1874 in Edmunds, Washington, Maine."
[24257]
A World Family Tree file (not verified) gives her death date and place and reports that she and William had Priscella, Sarah, Nathaniel and Thomas. The LDS Church's unverified IGI file states that Elizabeth is daughter of Nathaniel Christian of Cocke, TN and wife Jane Ewing. http://www.findagrave.com remarks: "She must have been an incredible woman, having lived in places where Indians attacked and weather was a bitter enemy. She and her husband sold their property in Tennessee in 1834 and moved to Missouri, where their children had settled. William and Betsy lived with their son Thomas in Buchanan County, Missouri, the last few years of their lives.
Their children were: Nathaniel (1780-1852); Thomas (1782-1862); Priscilla (1784-1853); Sarah (1785-1852)."
