He married Sarah T. Downes about 1845, in Dixmont, Penobscot, Maine, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters. He lived in Newburgh, Penobscot, Maine, United States for about 10 years and Warren, Knox, Maine, United States in 1880. He registered for military service in 1863. He died on 29 March 1901, in Dixmont, Penobscot, Maine, United States, at the age of 82, and was buried in North Dixmont Cemetery, Dixmont, Penobscot, Maine, United States."
