[22040] Thomas was Bishop of Ely, then Archbishop of York, and finally Archbishop of Canterbury. He was also Lord Chancellor of England. He was impeached and banished during the reign of Richard II, but returned and restored under Henry IV. He was a religious persecutor, particularly of the Wickliffites, and of Sir John Oldcastle, Lord Cobham. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Arundel.

[61001] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 5 December 2025: "Kennebunk, Maine - Blaine D. Moores of Kennebunk died Friday, November 28, 2025. He was born in 1936, the son of Gerald and Veda (Brown) Moores he grew up in Springfield, Maine. Educated at Lee Academy, he held a BA in history and government and an MAEd from the University in Orono. A former teacher, he spent most of his life in the hospitality business. From the Riverside Hotel in Ogunquit to the Shawmut Inn in Kennebunkport, he became a partner and managing director of the Squaw Mountain Inn in Greenville, before moving on as general manager of the Bethel Inn in Bethel. From there, he purchased from his mentor, Russell Ireland, the Barbara Dean Restaurant and later the Sparhawk Resort in Ogunquit which he served as president until 2021. Along the way, he was a vice president of the New England Innkeepers Association, president of the Maine Innkeepers Association; and served as president of the Greenville and Bethel Chambers of Commerce. Mr. Moores helped to raise his two daughters, Jennifer Moores of York and Alice Lynch of Harpswell, ME, who survive him. Moores was a history buff who read widely, collected Art from living Maine artists, enjoyed the theater here and in London. He traveled extensively. An avid fly fisherman he also cultivated the friendship of numerous people including friends in England, Singapore, Slovakia, and Japan. Outspoken, he was generous with his time and his money. Prior to his death, he donated $2 million to launch a symposium series that will bring nationally prominent figures to the University of Maine Orono campus for presentations and classroom conversations on history and current affairs. He had a very good life. In addition to his daughters, he is survived by their husbands, John Tullai and Jeffrey Lynch; four granddaughters; and one sister, Florence of Charlottesville, VA. At his request, there will be no services. Some of his ashes will be distributed by his long time fishing guide, Sean McCormick of Whitefield, with the remainder placed in the Lowell-Moores Cemetery in Carroll, Maine, where he will be the fifth generation of Moores with headstones."
